Handlettering Card, no Stamps

By on February 15, 2018

I love handlettering, it is so beautiful and it is so “in” right now. Paired with the dark watercolours, I think it really takes it to the next level. This is something that anyone can do! It’s fun, easy and fast! Nothing is more relaxing than doodling. One of my favourite cards.

Use glitter with stencils

By on February 5, 2018

There are lots of expensive glitter pastes on the market these days but really who needs them when you can use plain old glitter and glitter glue to get the same gorgeous effect! I had a lot of fun and I will definitely be using this technique a lot in my cards and probably my art journal layouts too!

~~~Supplies~~~
Glitter (Dollar store)
Glitter Glue (Michaels & Amazon)
All purpose Glue
Stencils (dollar tree & Stampin up but there are some great ones on Amazon)
~~~I also used in my card design~~~
Quiller’s Paper Crimper Amazon
Coffee mugs and stamp (Stampin up, no longer available for purchase)
Emboss Powder Amazon
Heat Tool (for setting embossing powder – no, hairdryers don’t work): Amazon

Heat Emboss double-sided tape

By on January 30, 2018

I was thinking about how wonderful embossing powder is and it occurred to me that all you really need is something to stick it to! I thought this would be a fun experiment. This experiment turned out to make a beautiful card! I used my free set of thinlits I got from Stampin Up’s Sale-a-bration set: Celebrate You Thinlits. This was the first time I really got to experiment with these beautiful gold, silver and copper embossing powders I just purchased.

~~~Supplies~~~
Cardstock Amazon
Double Sided Tape (Michael’s or any craft or office supply store)
Heat Tool (for setting embossing powder – no, hairdryers don’t work): Amazon
Stamp with Water
By on January 17, 2018
Stamp using water! It’s backward day! We are stamping water into the inked page instead of inking up the stamps. It is fun and easy and gives you a really beautiful effect. I discovered this by accident and I have been experiencing with it ever since. All you really need is an ink pad (or re-inkers) and water. Please feel free to leave any questions or comments about this fun new technique below.
